Illustrating, what a story! 20 years at the heart of albums

Is 20 years old? For a gallery that made the somewhat crazy bet, in 2004, of devoting itself exclusively to illustration, the progress made is indeed significant! Since then, exhibition spaces have multiplied, festivals too, and a museum has even opened in Moulins… Has illustration finally acquired the recognition that other arts benefit from?

To celebrate these 20 years, Galerie Robillard is honoring the extraordinary creativity of current illustration, in a two-part collective exhibition. On the one hand, we invited 50 illustrators to create an original tribute to the history of illustration, to an artist or one of their characters. At the same time, we will present a selection of original illustrations, chosen from the albums recently published by these 50 artists, as well as part of our collection. A fantastic panorama of contemporary illustration!

Events are planned around the exhibition, including a professional day on Friday November 29, afternoons of meetings and workshops with artists, guided tours for all audiences, collectors, amateurs, families, etc.
