Claire de Gastold

With a painter as a grandfather, Claire de Gastold immersed since childhood in the wonderful world of images. Little, she is fascinated by Maurice Sendak and the Russian tales of Bilibine. Teenager, she dreamed of making comics and went to study at the Saint-Luc Institute in Brussels. Received the following year in the School of Decorative Arts in Paris, she returned to France to take courses in the illustration section. Since then she works mainly for youth publishing industry.

Alongside the many illustrated books she publishes each year, Claire also creates comics, mainly for TOPO magazine.
